Booking questions

Frequently asked questions

Which Puerto Varas tour is best value?

The classic Osorno volcano and Petrohué falls day tour — from around US$55 for a 7-hour guided day with hotel pickup, and the most-reviewed tour in town. The Todos los Santos and Peulla boat tour offers similar value for a full day on the water.

What happens if it rains on my tour day?

Tours run in rain — it is the Lake District. The volcano view may be hidden, though, so book your volcano tour early in your stay and use the free-cancellation window to move it if the forecast is bad. Frutillar, Cochamó hot springs and Chiloé work well on grey days.

Are park entrance fees included?

Often not. The Petrohué falls entrance, chairlifts on the Osorno volcano and lunches are usually paid separately. Each listing shows exactly what is included.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes. Several operators offer private versions of the volcano, Petrohué and Todos los Santos routes, and private airport transfers. They cost more per head but let you choose the stops and the pace.

Can I cancel if my plans change?

Most listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, and many let you reserve now and pay later. The exact terms are shown on each tour page before you confirm.
